Prevention and Management of Tropical & Infectious Diseases in Mozambique
This 5 day intensive training course aims to provide learners with the necessary theory, technical and practical skills to develop and implement disease surveillance, prevention and control activities.
We will delve into the theoretical concepts and background of tropical and infectious diseases, and offer extensive practical approaches, based on direct field experience of the facilitator using a mixture of case studies, role plays, presentations and practical exercises.
After completion of this course, you will be able to:
Learners will be taught current state-of-the-art approaches to prevention, detection, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. This will include: clinical approaches to complex, rare infections; what’s new in HIV management and prevention; new and emerging infectious diseases; newer antimicrobials and treatment strategies for highly resistant bacterial infections. We will also look at best practices and new National guidelines.
